CURRENT NEWS: While our Sanibel home was destroyed in the hurricanes of '04, we have completed the new construction and re-opened in December of '05. We are excited and proud to be a part of the new Ocean's Reach Resort which will offer many new amenities, typically found only in premier properties. These include being professionally decorated and furnished throughout with solid surface kitchen and bath counter tops, cable TVs and DVD players in the living room and each bedroom, ceiling fans in all rooms and the lanai and hi-speed, wireless internet access.

SPECIAL PRICING: Inquire about last minute reservations for savings up to 40%. During the four weeks prior to any arrival date, I will discount an additional 10% each week. That's 10% if booked 4 weeks in advance, 20% if booked 3 weeks in advance, 30% - 2 weeks in advance and 40% - 1 week in advance.

ALTERNATIVE UNIT AVAILABILITY: There are 64 units in the complex 40 - two BR and 24 - one BR. All are new in 2005 and all have direct gulf views, as you can see from the aerial picture of the complex above. I do not use a calendar since if my unit is booked, there is usually another identical unit that is available. The only difference is that other units do not include bikes, although there are rentals available on site. If you allow me to book an alternative unit for you, I will offer you a 10% discount on a future visit if you stay in my unit.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION are said to be the three most important considerations in identifying desireable real estate.   On Sanibel Island this can be further defined to VIEWS, VIEWS and more VIEWS in selecting your vacation home.

At our unit 3A3 at Ocean's Reach Resort, we think we have a combination of location and view that can't be beat.   Our unit is only 25 feet from the beach, an amenity hard to find anywhere on the Island.   Located almost exactly on the elbow of Sanibel, the views from the beach offer both inspiring morning sunrises and spectacular evening sunsets.   With limited development on both sides, the atmosphere of tropical remoteness and serenity is enhanced.

If you have never been to Sanibel, we believe you will find it to be a uniquely tropical vacation destination.   If you are a returning visitor, we invite you to consider our Sanibel home for your vacation.   In either case, we believe you will be very happy with your choice

Highlights:

- Direct Gulf Front Unit
- 25 Feet From the Beach
- Fantastic Sunrises and Sunsets
- 1000 Square Feet of Living Space
- 2 Bedrooms and 2 Full Baths
- 4 adult bikes included in your rental

Reserve Your Next Sanibel Vacation!

Sanibel Island is a tropical paradise located near Fort Myers, on the Gulf Coast of Florida. If you are looking for a South Florida vacation and you like world-class beaches in a relaxed tropical environment, Sanibel must be on your list of vacation destinations.

For the beach lover and sun worshipper, there is an endless beach producing a new harvest of shells with each new tide. Sanibel is known as the shelling capital of the world. If outdoor sports are your priority, enjoy the three island golf courses and several championship courses nearby. Tennis courts are available at no charge and there are miles of bike paths on Sanibel on which you can explore the Island. For the nature lover there is the Ding Darling Wildlife Sanctuary offering rare sightings of tropical birds, alligators and other wildlife. There is also The Bailey Tract and Tarpon Bay which have nature trails, mangrove canoe trails and other interesting exhibits.

Sanibel Island was first settled in the 1800s, and until well after the turn of the 20th century was a sparsely populated, agricultural settlement. It was mostly known as the home of the Sanibel Lighthouse, a historic site that still stands today. The Lighthouse was built in 1884 and was the last manned lighthouse in the US. Today it is a well maintained historical site adorning the East end of the Island and surrounded by hiking and bike paths.

Sanibel maintained relative obscurity until the 1960's when a causeway was built connecting it to the Ft. Myers mainland. Because of the Island's recent establishment as a convenient vacation destination, it benefited from strong zoning, preservation of natural resources and the environment and strict control over commercial development. This has resulted in a building plan that preserves the tropical beauty of the Island, and preventing the overbuilding that occurs in many other locations.

I hope this introduction intrigues you to learn more about Sanibel and our vacation paradise.
